We at the Vocational Department pride ourselves on nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with essential skills for personal and professional success. Our Vocational Department, led by the Head of Department, Mr. Ishall Chukwuemeka Quashigah, offers various courses designed to prepare students for real-world challenges while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship. Our department is committed to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in their chosen fields, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future. With a committed staff of twelve (12) knowledgeable teachers, our vocational programs are tailored to provide specific training in various fields, which include:

  1. The Home Economics Unit: Under the guidance of Madam Bernice Owusu, students in this unit gain vital skills in food preparation, nutrition, textiles, and effective home management. This course empowers students to lead self-sufficient lives and make meaningful contributions to their families and communities.
  2. The Visual Arts Unit: Mr. Teye Joseph leads this dynamic unit, inspiring students to harness their creative talents. In the Visual Arts program, learners explore painting, drawing, textiles, and design, preparing themselves for careers in a vibrant Arts industry that values innovation and creativity.
  3. The Physical Education and Health Unit: Guided by Mr. Saviour Vifa, this unit focuses on modern practices of health management, enabling students to play pivotal roles in Ghana’s health and sports sectors. With an emphasis on physical fitness and well-being, students are encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyles that can positively impact their communities.

Our Goals

The vocational department at Pramshigh is driven by a set of key goals that align with both specific educational objectives and broader national developmental aims:

General Goals

1. Equipping Students with Practical Skills: Our hands-on training ensures that students gain the competence they need in their chosen fields.
2. Preparing Students for the World of Work: We instill crucial employability and entrepreneurship skills, ensuring that our graduates are ready for the job market or self-employment.
3. Developing Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking Skills: We promote creativity and innovative thinking to help students address challenges effectively.

Specific Goals


  1. Physical Education and Health: Train students to contribute to Ghana's health and sports sector with contemporary practices.
  2. Home Economics 1 and Home Economics 2: Equip students to manage household responsibilities and contribute to community welfare.
  3. Visual Arts 1 and Visual Art 2: Develop creativity through various disciplines, preparing students for careers in the arts.
  4. Business and Entrepreneurship: Provide a strong foundation in business principles to empower future entrepreneurs.

National Development Goals

  1. Contributing to Ghana's Economic Development: We aim to equip students with relevant skills that support national growth.
  2. Reducing Unemployment: Our focus is on reducing unemployment rates by enhancing students' employability.
